The Red Barn Theatre Fire of April 18, 2009

I cant tell you how sad I am about this fire. My grandmother lived in Sutton for many years. I grew up hearing storys of recent performances she had seen at the theater. She always had the Red Barn Sourviner Cutting board hanging up in her Kitchen she now lives in Ajax closer to us. But I drive to sutton once in a while for a tims coffee and to drive by the theater and look at it. Im so sad and felt so silly when I started shedding tears when I heard about this tragic fire. I had planned to save up money to go see a show but now its gone. Im so sad about this fire I am deeply sorry for your loss.

I am shocked! I returned from holiday on Monday the 27th and was only told of this disaster last evening. I actually live only a few blocks from the theatre and it has always been part of my “home”. Over the years I have proudly taken guests to the performances and enjoyed many on my own. This is a great loss to Jacksons Point and the Canadian artisitic community in general.
