Hearing that tornadoes have touched down in nearby Lucan, "Raw Crew"–bolstered by volunteers (mostly bull riders) including Steve Foster–scramble to tear down the iron-fenced arena at the onset of a serious looking storm. A normally heavy four-hour job is completed in about an hour. The rigging needs to get on the road for Quebec for the next show a few days later.

A successful bull ride of 8 seconds without falling, or touching the animal or oneself with ones free hand, can seem a lifetime… or take a life. At the Arthur Ontario Rodeo in 2001 “Road Kill” Phill Henning took a horn to his skull, when his mount pitched him forward while simultaneously slashing back at him with its head. Unconscious with a fractured skull, Henning’s heart stopped both in the ambulance on the way to the local hospital and then a second time in the air ambulance to Hamilton General Hospital. Now, by weekday a recycling crewman for BFI Canada, during the rodeo season Henning works the back-chute area as Raw Crew for the Rawhide Rodeo Company, and once a weekend, as he prepares himself to do here, climbs back on a bull

With a strong Christian and family aspect to rodeo, as many as three generations of family and friends participating in the Dodge Rodeo finals in Mississauga gather in their free time in the parking lot of the Hershey Centre for a round-robin team roping tournament using a dummy steer which is tagged with a quote from the bible. The header must catch first and while dragging the dummy along on its skids, his partner, the heeler, must catch the free-swinging hind-legs for the team to move up in the standings. On the dummy a tag cites scripture "Jesus is Lord 1 John 1 5-10."
